Jackery Portable Power Stations

Previously, power storage was only possible with the lead-acid battery-based devices. However, the invention of Lithium-ion batteries has changed this narrative. Power stations that rely on Li-ion batteries are cheaper and can store more power than their lead-acid counterparts. It is no surprise therefore that they are becoming a common feature in home emergency kits, camping gear, and among all adventure lovers.

Design and features

Jackery SolarSaga

It is a high conversion efficiency solar generator that’s designed to speedily charge the Jackery portable power stations. The solar station is foldable and it comes with a kickstand that makes it easy to set up anywhere you go. Even if you do not have your power station with you, the SolarSaga’s multiple USB ports ensure you can charge multiple devices such as smartphones, digital cameras, tablets, and more simultaneously.

Jackery Explorer 1000

It is the biggest Jackery power station, and one of the most powerful portable power stations. With 1002Wh capacity, 1000W rated power (2000W surge power) and multiple output charge/recharge ports, it meets the power supply needs of higher and most power electrical appliances.

3 standard AC outlets and 5 DC ports: Jackery Explorer 1000 features three standard AC sockets (with pure sine wave), dual USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, and one 12V carport. You could use the device to power up a number of appliances simultaneously and quite efficiently.

Solar fasting-charging MPPT technology: Professional MPPT technology provides faster solar recharge rates. The Explorer 1000 can be quickly recharged within 8 hours by connecting two SolarSaga 100W solar panels together with an adapter cable. If connecting only a single panel, the approximate recharging time is 17 hours. It is also possible to recharge from AC outlets and 12v vehicle accessory ports. Time for full recharging is approximately 7 hours from an AC outlet, or 14 hours from 12v car ports.

Charge your sensitive devices without worry

According to Jackery, the Explorer 1000 is a sine wave inverter. This implies that the output supplied is clean power, similar to utility-supplied electricity. If you’ve been skeptical about charging your Macbook or other sensitive devices on other power stations, you can rest assured the Explorer 1000 is perfectly safe for your device.

Steady power supply for a decent amount of time

The Explorer 1000’s giant 1000W battery is capable of charging virtually any device for a reasonable length of time. It is estimated that the power station can:

  • Recharge a smartphone 100+ times
  • Recharge a 12+ times
  • Power a car cooler for 66+ hours
  • Power a 32” TV for 14+ hours
  • Recharge a camera 180+ times
Taking this portable power station and the SolarSaga on your next outdoor adventure is the key to enjoying an uninterrupted power supply.

Charge with solar or electricity

Although it is highly advisable to buy both the Explorer 1000 and SolarSaga together, you can still choose to buy the power station alone if you’re sure there’ll be a steady supply of electricity. Jackery claims that the time for full recharging is approximately 7 hours from an AC outlet, or 14 hours from 12v car ports. You’ll get both cables when you buy the power station.
