The ELF is a solar and pedal hybrid vehicle powered by you and the sun. Produced in Durham, N.C., by Organic Transit, it is a cross between a bicycle and a car. It has three wheels, pedals, a solar panel, an enclosed cab, a carrier in the back and runs on a rechargeable battery. It does not use gasoline. ELF SOLO The ELF body is made from a rugged ABS composite called Trylon that protects you from the elements and helps you stand out in traffic. PodRide Four Wheel Electric Bicycle-Car

Mikael Kjellman, an outdoor adventure sports enthusiast, designed the PodRide vehicle in Sweden with the basic idea of creating a weather protected and more comfortable bicycle. The 70-kg (154-lb) vehicle features four wheels for added stability and a waterproof fabric body mounted on an aluminum frame. It allows drivers to sit at the same height as you would in a conventional small car. Kjellman has been driving it to-and-from work for a year, and found it to be “a very practical and comfortable little vehicle.” PodRide has a 250-watt crankshaft engine, augmenting the rider’s pedaling power. Its electric motor allows you to adjust the level of assist, to travel further, easier. One charge of the onboard battery pack should be good for a motor-assisted range of about 60 km (37 miles). Conquering land and sea is a feat that usually requires two vehicles. However, Gibbs Amphibians built a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) that allows you to cover both. Their Terraquad transforms from off-road warrior to water-ready ripper in just a few seconds. Terraquad is a derivative of the already established Quadski platform. It has a side-by-side seating configuration, roof bars, and a rear load deck, similar in concept to a typical UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle). The integration of HSA (High Speed Amphibious) technology however, provides a vehicle platform that can also use waterways, so can access many more areas than an ordinary UTV.
